EdgePoint Infrastructure has reached a significant milestone with the establishment of 15,000 towers across Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
EdgePoint Infrastructure, a leading telecommunications infrastructure company in the ASEAN region, has reached a significant milestone with the establishment of 15,000 towers across Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. This landmark was achieved with the recent deployment of its 15,000th site in Karang Wareng, Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia.
Suresh Sidhu, CEO of EdgePoint Infrastructure, emphasized the importance of this achievement, stating, “This milestone represents more than just a number; it highlights EdgePoint’s dedication to enhancing digital connectivity throughout ASEAN. In just three and a half years since our founding, we have successfully established 15,000 towers across three countries, significantly improving the region’s connectivity infrastructure. This underscores our commitment to providing top-tier infrastructure and ensuring equitable access to connectivity for everyone in the region.”
Sidhu continued, “In today’s digital era, connectivity is crucial for a country’s growth and development. EdgePoint is committed to supporting this growth by delivering the best infrastructure, ensuring that connectivity is accessible to all. EdgePoint Infrastructure was founded in 2020, beginning its operations in Malaysia, then expanding to Indonesia in 2021, and the Philippines in 2022. The company has collaborated with leading Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and non-MNO customers, deploying state-of-the-art infrastructure that ensures seamless and reliable connectivity.
William Walters, CEO of EdgePoint Philippines, remarked on the significance of this milestone, saying, “Connectivity is a fundamental component of nation-building. This achievement commemorates EdgePoint’s continuous efforts to provide reliable connectivity to everyone, including those in remote areas. Over the past year, EdgePoint has solidified its role as a partner in nation-building across its operating regions by expanding its reach and improving connectivity in underserved areas such as Sabah in Malaysia, the Visayas and Palawan in the Philippines, and Papua, Sulawesi, and Nusa Tenggara in Indonesia.
EdgePoint has also made sustainability a core focus, recently completing the deployment of five solar-powered sites in the Philippines. The company is committed to achieving net-zero emissions across its portfolio, reflecting its dedication to sustainable growth and innovation.
The company’s accomplishments have been widely recognized, earning accolades for innovation, customer centricity, and service delivery. Recently, EdgePoint was honored with the Tower Company of the Year award at the Twimbit Telecom Awards 2024.
