As the Philippines continues its post-2024 economic recovery, driven by the services, fintech, and digital sectors, companies are turning to digital infrastructure to manage growth. One area seeing significant demand is data storage and protection, a challenge Synology aims to address at the upcoming 39th Digital Transformation Summit Philippines.

Synology, a company known for its network-attached storage (NAS) and data management products, will present its latest solutions during the summit on May 22 at Shangri-La Makati.

“Building resilient digital infrastructure today means more than just storing data,” said Synology spokesperson Victor Wang. “Organizations need integrated tools that scale with them and offer security, management, and collaboration features in one system.”

Many businesses face hurdles in managing fast-growing data, rising cybersecurity threats, and compliance requirements, often juggling systems from multiple vendors. Synology’s NAS platforms, which range from desktop to rackmount formats, offer centralized data management, built-in WORM (Write Once, Read Many) protection, and scalability from terabytes to petabytes.

The system also includes tools for file sharing, productivity, and collaboration. Its WORM technology is designed to protect files from unauthorized edits or deletions, a growing concern in sectors with sensitive or regulated data.

The company says its NAS also helps defend against ransomware with built-in applications that safeguard devices including PCs, Macs, servers, virtual machines, and SaaS platforms—all managed from a single interface with no extra licensing fees.

In Vietnam, Toyota Vietnam reported a 75% reduction in backup costs after switching to Synology’s infrastructure. The company cited backup efficiency and scalability as key factors. In the Philippines, Synology says its tools are being used across industries such as hospitality, retail, education, and government.

The upcoming summit will give local business leaders a closer look at how integrated data solutions can support digital transformation while improving resilience.
