TELECOM | Smart reopens upgraded store in Cabanatuan

Smart Communications Inc., the wireless arm of PLDT, has opened its newly upgraded Smart Store at the SM City Cabanatuan Cyberzone, aiming to deliver improved customer service and digital solutions to residents of Nueva Ecija and nearby areas.
Previously located at NE Pacific Mall, the store moved to SM City Cabanatuan in 2016. It continues to serve as a key retail hub, offering services such as SIM activations, device sales, technical support, billing assistance, and access to Smart’s latest innovations.
“This new Smart Store is more than just a retail space—it’s a hub for connection, empowerment, and service,” said Eden Techico, Vice President and Head of Retail Operations and Transformation at Smart. “We are proud to bring a more personalized and elevated customer experience to Cabanatuan City.”
The launch event was attended by local officials including Cabanatuan City Mayor Myca Vergara, Barangay Captain Anita Pascual of Camp Tinio, representatives from SM City Cabanatuan, and Smart executives.
The upgraded store features self-service kiosks and is manned by trained specialists ready to assist customers with Smart Prepaid, Postpaid, and PLDT Home products. It also supports mobile number switching to Smart or TNT and showcases new gadgets for home and mobile use.
Cabanatuan City, the largest in Nueva Ecija and often referred to as the “Rice Granary of the Philippines,” plays a central role in the region’s economy and culture. With landmarks like Plaza Lucero and the Cabanatuan Cathedral, it continues to grow as a commercial and historical center.
The store upgrade forms part of the PLDT Group’s larger effort to strengthen its nationwide retail presence and bring reliable connectivity to more Filipinos.
