TELECOM | Smart launches Travē eSIM App
Now available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, Smart Travē allows users to purchase and activate eSIM data packages directly from their smartphones.

Smart Communications Inc. has launched the Smart Travē app, a new travel-focused mobile platform offering prepaid eSIM connectivity in more than 80 international destinations. The app aims to make mobile data access easier and more affordable for Filipino travelers by eliminating the need for physical SIM cards or airport kiosks.
Now available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, Smart Travē (pronounced “trav-ie”) allows users to purchase and activate eSIM data packages directly from their smartphones. The service is open to all users with eSIM-compatible devices, regardless of their current mobile provider.
With data packages starting at around P40 per day, or $4.50 for a 7-day bundle depending on the destination, the app provides access to essential travel services such as maps, ride-hailing apps, accommodation booking, language translation, and social media.
Smart Travē supports coverage in key destinations for Filipino travelers, including Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates. The app also enables connectivity in countries across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia.
To get started, users simply select their travel destination, choose a data plan, pay through the app, and activate the eSIM. The app removes the hassle of locating Wi-Fi hotspots or manually swapping SIM cards while traveling.
Smart’s launch of the Travē app reflects the company’s move to expand beyond traditional telecom offerings by providing digital solutions tailored to the needs of international travelers.
