Trip.com has launched Trip.Planner, a new AI-powered tool designed to simplify travel planning by creating personalized itineraries with real-time recommendations.
Unveiled on Aug. 26, Trip.Planner integrates flights, trains, hotels, restaurants, and attractions into a single hub, allowing travelers to plan and book directly without switching between platforms. It also pulls from more than 20 million geo-tagged points of interest worldwide.
“Trip.Planner is a cutting-edge tool that combines reliable data with rich itinerary management to redefine how travelers plan their journeys,” said James Liang, co-founder and chairman of Trip.com Group.
The platform adapts to different travel styles, offering tailored itineraries for families, culture seekers, first-time visitors, and budget-conscious travelers. Options include family-friendly attractions, historical sites, nature escapes, and city nightlife. Users can also import existing bookings and adjust plans using an interactive map interface, supported by an always-active AI assistant.
To ensure accuracy, Trip.Planner recommendations are verified against official opening hours, transport details, and seasonal availability. The service also includes expert-vetted suggestions through in-app chat for milestone trips or niche experiences.
“With Trip.Planner, we are offering a truly smart assistant that adapts to user preferences, simplifies decision-making, and puts joy back into trip planning,” said Bonnie Bao, director of product for Itinerary & Map at Trip.com Group.
The service is currently available in English across select markets, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Israel, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Belgium, and Ireland, with plans to expand further in the coming months.
