Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has rolled out international ticket sales using New Distribution Capability (NDC) on Trip.com, marking a first-of-its-kind integration between the flag carrier and a global travel service provider.
The partnership, powered by content aggregator Travelfusion, gives Trip.com customers in Asia, Australia and the United States access to the same fares and services available on the PAL website. This includes a wider range of tickets — from lower-priced options to student fares — along with add-on services such as seat selection and prepaid baggage.
The integration also allows passengers to manage bookings directly on Trip.com, including itinerary changes and refunds. PAL said the collaboration would help it reach international students, first-time travelers and diaspora communities through Trip.com’s smart segmentation tools, enabling exclusive student offers and tailored fare bundles.
“In partnership with Trip.com, we are able to provide customers with a personalized and seamless flight booking experience through NDC integration with Travelfusion,” said Justin Warby, PAL vice president for sales and distribution. “This expands our distribution capabilities and offers a passenger-centric booking experience worldwide.”
Trip.com executives said the tie-up strengthens PAL’s reach across markets. “We are proud to be the first global travel service provider to enter an NDC integration partnership with Philippine Airlines in Asia Pacific,” said Kirk Wong, regional airline director at Trip.com Group. “This will give our users better fare options and booking experiences, while supporting PAL in expanding its customer base.”
Both companies said travelers can expect more exclusive NDC deals and bundled options on Trip.com in the coming months.
