EVENTS | Hong Kong watch & clock fair return with record brands

The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and the Salon de TIME will return on Sept. 2–6 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, bringing together more than 650 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions.
Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries, and the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association, the twin events carry the theme “Our Time Our Moments.”
Salon de TIME, open to both industry professionals and the public, will feature more than 140 international brands — a post-pandemic high — including names from Switzerland, France, and Germany. World Brand Piazza, a centerpiece of the fair, will showcase limited-edition timepieces from luxury makers such as Ulysse Nardin, Montblanc, and Corum.
This year’s exhibitions highlight sustainability and innovation, with several watchmakers debuting models made from recycled materials or powered by solar technology. Health-focused smartwatches will also be on display, including devices integrating artificial intelligence and fitness monitoring.
Industry forums and seminars are scheduled throughout the five-day event, with experts from China, Europe, Japan, and Korea discussing global supply chains, independent watchmaking, and Chinese watchmaking’s 70th anniversary.
According to trade figures, Hong Kong remains the world’s second-largest hub for watch imports and exports, with P28.2 billion in exports in the first seven months of the year. The decline in exports narrowed to 2.7% from 8.2% last year, signaling improving demand.
The fairs will also feature product launches, demonstrations, and celebrity appearances, while CENTRESTAGE, a fashion and lifestyle event running Sept. 3–6, will host around 400 international watch and fashion brands.
