China-based global automotive brand JETOUR Auto Philippines continues to strengthen its presence in the local automotive market with the introduction of two hybrid models—the X70 Lightning i-DM and the newly launched T1 Lightning i-DM—marking its most aggressive move yet in the plug-in hybrid SUV segment.

The X70 Lightning i-DM, priced at P1.498 million, was developed in response to rising Filipino demand for efficient and technology-driven family vehicles. Complementing it is the JETOUR T1 Lightning i-DM, unveiled in a grand launch at The Cove Manila in Okada, Manila, further establishing the brand’s hybrid portfolio in the country.

Hybrid technology for Pinoy roads

JETOUR’s i-DM, which stands for intelligent Dual Motor, powers both SUVs with a combination of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Electric Motor, controlled by a hybrid-dedicated gearbox (DHT). The powertrain produces a combined 140 horsepower and 215 Nm of torque from the engine, plus 150 kW and 310 Nm of torque from the electric motor, offering balanced performance and fuel efficiency tailored for urban and long-distance driving.

The system is supported by a 26.7-kWh lithium battery capable of fast DC charging from 30 to 80% in about 30 minutes. According to JETOUR, both models aim to make advanced hybrid technology accessible to a wider range of Filipino drivers transitioning toward sustainable mobility.

“The JETOUR T1 Lightning i-DM represents more than just advanced technology—it represents our respect for local heritage and our dedication to shaping a sustainable future,” said Rommel Sytin, chairman of JETOUR Auto Philippines.

Designed for comfort, safety, everyday utility

The T1 Lightning i-DM features an Ultra-Safe Cage Body Structure with integrated laser tailoring for increased passenger protection. Inside, it offers a blend of comfort and smart features, including a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a 15.6-inch center control screen, and climate systems with adaptive ventilation that adjusts based on body weight.

Passengers are shielded from heat and noise by nine-layer sun protection glass and five-layer soundproof glass, while a 24-hour parked air-conditioning system maintains cabin comfort even when the engine is off.

Safety technology includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning with Active Braking, Lane Departure Warning and Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and a 540° panoramic imaging system for comprehensive visibility.

A grand showcase of technology, culture

The launch event of the T1 Lightning i-DM gathered nearly 400 guests, including executives from JETOUR Auto International and JETOUR Auto Philippines, dealer principals, bank partners, and media representatives. Hosted by automotive personality James Deakin, the event featured a mix of local culture and modern technology, highlighted by a Kulintang performance and Filipino dance presentations.

Deakin also demonstrated the JETOUR ACTIVLife Smartwatch, an accessory that integrates with the T1 Lightning i-DM, enabling remote control functions such as engine start, keyless entry, and trunk operation, while also tracking fitness and health metrics.

“The launch is both a celebration and a promise—a celebration of how far we’ve come, and a promise of where JETOUR is headed with the Filipino people,” said Miguelito Jose, managing director of JETOUR Auto Philippines.

Accessibility and value

JETOUR’s local distributor, United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), confirmed an introductory price of P1.798 million for the T1 Lightning i-DM, valid for the first 100 buyers, who will also receive a free JETOUR ACTIVLife Smartwatch. Available in five colors: Night Black, Sand Gold, Electroplated Green, Silver Snow, and Khaki White, the model expands JETOUR’s SUV lineup alongside the X70, X50, and Dashing variants.

Both vehicles are positioned to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly, family-oriented SUVs that balance power, efficiency, and affordability.

Camille Prats renews partnership

Adding a lifestyle touch to the brand’s momentum, Camille Prats, actress and long-time JETOUR ambassador, renewed her partnership with JETOUR Auto Philippines. Prats is set to drive the first-ever T2 Boss Edition, the brand’s rugged 4×4 SUV variant.

Her continued role as brand ambassador, alongside Team Kramer, underscores JETOUR’s goal of connecting technology with the Filipino family lifestyle. “Our ambassadors reflect what JETOUR stands for—trust, innovation, and togetherness,” the company said in a statement.

With the rollout of the X70 and T1 Lightning i-DM, JETOUR Auto Philippines is moving toward its vision of delivering intelligent, sustainable mobility for the Filipino market. The brand’s hybrid strategy, combining accessible pricing with advanced engineering, reinforces its bid to become a key player in the local SUV segment.
