As the holiday season approaches, the technology sector is rolling out new devices, infrastructure plans and retail expansions that will shape consumer choices and enterprise strategies heading into 2026. This roundup highlights major announcements from Lenovo, AMD, Cisco, HUMAIN, vivo, HONOR and Power Mac Center, offering readers a snapshot of developments across personal computing, artificial intelligence, mobile imaging and nationwide retail presence.
Lenovo pushes AI-ready devices
Lenovo unveiled a lineup of laptops and gaming systems positioned as holiday gifts for various types of users, emphasizing what the company calls “Smarter AI for All.” The IdeaPad Slim 3i and Slim 5 are aimed at students and everyday users needing reliable performance, long battery life and Intel-powered multitasking. For creators and hybrid workers, the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition and Yoga 7i 2-in-1 feature OLED displays, thin designs and adaptive optimization for diverse working conditions.
The Lenovo gaming portfolio includes the Legion 5i and the upcoming Legion Go 2, which is expected to reach local retail stores by late December. The company said the Legion Pro 27UD-10, a 27-inch 4K gaming monitor, will arrive by mid-December.
AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN launch joint venture
AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN announced a plan to build a joint venture intended to expand Saudi Arabia’s AI infrastructure. The companies said the venture aims to deploy up to 1 GW of AI capacity by 2030, beginning with a 100 MW phase scheduled for 2026. HUMAIN will provide data center capacity, while AMD contributes its Instinct MI450 Series GPUs and Cisco supplies critical networking and infrastructure systems.
The companies said the project is designed to help accelerate Saudi Arabia’s digital economy. The announcement referenced Cisco’s AI Readiness Index findings that most Saudi organizations plan to adopt AI agents but lack sufficient GPU infrastructure.

Unbox therapy reacts to vivo X300
Tech creator Lewis Hilsenteger of Unbox Therapy released a video featuring the vivo X300 Pro Photographer Kit, which he described as “wild” for its stabilization and optical extender design. During a 4K 30 FPS zoom test, he said the handheld footage looked like it was shot on a tripod, calling the stabilization “crazy.” He added that the photos “don’t look like they came from a smartphone,” noting the system’s camera-like design and performance.
The vivo X300 Pro is priced at P77,999, with the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Kit and PGYTECH Imaging Grip Kit sold separately. Pre-orders run until December 5, 2025.

The brand listed new branches in SM City Olongapo, SM City Telabastagan, SM City La Union, Ayala Malls Feliz, Abreeza Davao, KCC Mall Cotabato, KCC Mall Zamboanga, Robinsons Palawan and Market! Market! in Taguig. HONOR Vice President Stephen Cheng said the expansion reflects the company’s ongoing effort to reach more customers since returning to the local market.
