Local business owners and residents shared how a utility vehicle has been reshaping their daily mobility as the Toyota Tamaraw Roadshow stopped here on December 7. Actor Coco Martin, the event’s ambassador, met with Marileños and Bulakeños during the nationwide tour featuring stories from users of the Next Generation Tamaraw. Marilao follows earlier stops in Cagayan de Oro and Tacloban, where customers also described how the vehicle has supported their livelihoods and transport needs.

Martin told attendees that he uses his Tamaraw Utility Van for transporting supplies and shuttling employees. He said he was surprised by the model’s performance, noting the softer clutch and improved engine response. “I’ve been driving for a long time… It’s the first time I stepped on a clutch that soft,” he said, describing the ride as comfortable for both work errands and staff transport.

Among those who met Martin was Domingo Delizo of Pandi, Bulacan, who said his business revenue has grown since adopting the Tamaraw for daily operations. He cited the model’s dependability and said it gave his family confidence in running their small enterprise. Delizo said people often ask about his vehicle, and he refers them to the local dealership for inquiries.

Another customer, Estrella Maruyama, said durability and comfort led her family to choose the Tamaraw. After receiving their unit, she found the interior spacious and their trips smoother than expected. She later recommended the model to her daughter, who purchased one as well. “It’s not just a vehicle… it’s a partner in business and in life,” she said.

Toyota Marilao Bulacan, Inc. President Cosco Oben said the Tamaraw has quickly become a preferred option for residents using it for both enterprise and family needs. He thanked customers in the province for their support and said the model is helping MSMEs manage daily transport requirements more efficiently.

The Next Generation Tamaraw, relaunched in 2024 as a customizable utility platform, continues to expand its offerings. Toyota recently introduced new automatic transmission variants and additional conversion options, along with new exterior colors for several trims. The company said the updates are designed to meet the diverse needs of small businesses and families who rely on the vehicle for mobility.

Martin closed the roadshow stop by meeting fans and highlighting how the Tamaraw fits into his work routine. Toyota said the nationwide tour will continue to gather mobility stories from users across the country as more MSMEs adopt the vehicle for business operations and community transport. Customers may inquire about Tamaraw variants through authorized dealerships or the company’s website.
