A global digital advertising firm has been appointed to lead the commercialization and multimedia distribution of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the Philippines, expanding digital and broadcast access for brands and audiences ahead of the tournament.

FIFA has named Aleph as its exclusive partner in the Philippines for the multimedia distribution and commercialization of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The appointment gives Aleph responsibility for advertising, sponsorship and commercial opportunities across free-to-air television, pay TV, digital streaming, mobile platforms and video on demand in the local market.

Anna Dy, country head of Aleph Philippines, said football is gaining stronger digital traction in the country.

“Football has officially moved from the sidelines to the center of the Philippine sports conversation. We are seeing a fundamental shift in fan culture, where digital content creation has become a primary way for fans to live and share the sport in real time,” Dy said.

She added that brands in the Philippines now have an opportunity to connect with “an audience that is more mobile, more expressive and more invested in the game than ever before.”

Asia recorded a digital streaming reach of more than 1.19 billion during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, according to data cited in the announcement. The region also led global digital engagement, accounting for 65.3% of video views and 63% of hours viewed across digital streaming and social media platforms worldwide.

The 2026 tournament will be the first to feature 48 national teams playing 104 matches over 39 days. It is also expected to draw record digital audiences as more viewers consume live sports on mobile devices while engaging on social media.

As media partner, Aleph said it aims to integrate broadcast and digital experiences to capture what it described as parallel streams of audience attention during live matches.

The 2026 World Cup will be staged across host cities in North America and marks the next global edition of football’s flagship tournament.
