OPPO has launched the Reno15 Series 5G in the Philippines, introducing a new lineup of smartphones focused on AI-assisted photography, video capture and on-device artificial intelligence features.

The Reno15 series includes three models — Reno15 F 5G, Reno15 5G and Reno15 Pro 5G — with cameras and software designed for content creation, mobile video and everyday photography.

The devices combine high-resolution imaging hardware with AI tools that process photos, video and voice directly on the device.

AI features expand mobile photography

The Reno15 series introduces several AI-based imaging features, including AI Motion Photo, which records brief motion before and after a photo is captured.

The feature allows users to review short clips surrounding the moment of capture rather than relying on a single still frame.

Building on that capability, the phones also include AI Motion Photo Popout, which turns photos into layered visuals where the subject appears to extend beyond the image frame. The feature uses on-device AI to separate the subject from the background and generate a depth effect in seconds.

Additional editing tools include AI Motion Photo Slow-Mo and AI Motion Photo Eraser, which allow users to highlight specific moments or remove unwanted objects.

The system processes these effects directly on the device rather than relying on external editing apps.

Cameras designed for content creation

The Reno15 5G and Reno15 Pro 5G support 4K HDR Ultra-Steady Video on both front and rear cameras, enabling stabilized video recording while walking or moving.

The phones also support Dual-View Video, allowing simultaneous recording using both front and rear cameras. The feature is intended for vlog-style content or travel documentation where users want to capture both their surroundings and reactions in one clip.

For photography, the devices feature a 50-megapixel ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view designed for group shots.

A 3.5× telephoto portrait camera provides additional zoom options while maintaining natural depth and subject separation in portrait images.

Low-light photography is enhanced by AI Portrait Glow, which adjusts facial lighting in challenging conditions, and AI Flash Photography 2.0, which improves illumination without producing harsh glare.

Built-in AI tools for productivity

Beyond imaging, the Reno15 series integrates AI features designed to assist with everyday tasks.

AI Mind Space allows users to capture and organize on-screen content, while AI Recording and AI VoiceScribe convert calls, meetings and videos into text summaries.

The phones also support AI Call Translator and AI Translate for real-time multilingual communication.

Integration with Google Gemini enables natural-language interaction with apps and information across the device.

Design and availability

The Reno15 series uses OPPO’s Dancing Aurora design, which changes appearance depending on how light reflects off the device’s surface.

The smartphones are available in multiple storage configurations:

Reno15 F 5G
8GB + 128GB — P23,999
8GB + 256GB — P25,999
12GB + 256GB — P28,999

Reno15 5G
12GB + 256GB — P36,999
12GB + 512GB — P39,999

Reno15 Pro 5G
12GB + 512GB — P49,999

On-device AI push

The Reno15 launch comes as OPPO expands its focus on on-device AI processing.

At Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, the company demonstrated new AI technologies developed with MediaTek, including multimodal AI models capable of interpreting voice, video and text directly on smartphones.

The collaboration also includes improvements in real-time translation and portrait processing, reflecting a broader industry shift toward running AI tasks locally rather than relying on cloud processing.
