GADGETS | Samsung launches Galaxy S26 series, Galaxy Buds4 with deeper AI integration
The new Galaxy devices focus on tighter integration between mobile AI features and connected accessories, enabling voice-driven controls and adaptive performance across Samsung’s mobile platform.

Samsung Electronics unveiled the Galaxy S26 smartphone series alongside the new Galaxy Buds4 wireless earbuds, expanding its Galaxy ecosystem with stronger artificial intelligence features and upgraded audio hardware.
The announcement was made Feb. 25 in San Francisco, with the devices set to launch globally beginning March 11. The earbuds will debut alongside the Galaxy S26 lineup and will be available for pre-order in select markets starting immediately.

Galaxy S26 series expands AI-driven mobile features
Samsung positioned the Galaxy S26 lineup as its most advanced Galaxy AI smartphone yet, integrating on-device and cloud-based artificial intelligence into everyday tasks such as translation, photography and productivity.
The devices support AI assistants including Bixby, Google Gemini and Perplexity, enabling users to access AI tools through voice commands or contextual prompts across apps and services.
The Galaxy S26 series is designed to work closely with Samsung’s broader ecosystem of devices, including wearables and audio accessories such as the Galaxy Buds4 series. These integrations allow users to control functions or access AI capabilities without directly interacting with the phone.
Galaxy Buds4 series focuses on audio quality and adaptive features
Alongside the smartphones, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds4, designed to improve audio quality, noise cancellation and everyday usability.
The company said the new earbuds combine hardware improvements with adaptive software to adjust sound performance depending on the user’s environment.
“Samsung understands that a truly premium audio experience combines technical sound quality with how that sound feels throughout a user’s day,” said Ikhyun Cho, corporate vice president of the Mobile Enhancement R&D Team in Samsung’s Mobile eXperience Business.
“With the Galaxy Buds4 series, our design philosophy was uncompromising, providing all-day comfort without sacrificing audio performance, because these are what consumers value most.”
The Galaxy Buds4 Pro features a redesigned two-way speaker system with a wider woofer and tweeter to improve bass response and high-frequency detail. The earbuds support 24-bit/96kHz audio playback for compatible Galaxy devices.
Samsung said the new woofer design increases the effective speaker area by nearly 20% compared with the previous generation while maintaining compact dimensions.
Both models also include enhanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Adaptive Equalizer technology. These features analyze environmental noise and the user’s ear shape in real time to optimize sound output and reduce background noise.

Redesigned fit and hands-free controls
The Galaxy Buds4 series introduces a new blade-style design created through computational analysis of ear shapes and fit data.
Samsung said it analyzed hundreds of millions of ear data points and ran more than 10,000 simulations to develop the new ergonomic form factor.
The Galaxy Buds4 Pro uses a canal-fit design aimed at maximizing sound isolation, while the standard Galaxy Buds4 adopts an open-fit structure intended for comfort during extended use.
Hands-free features also expand with the new models. Users can activate AI assistants using voice commands and perform certain actions using head gesture controls, allowing them to manage calls or interact with voice assistants without touching their phones.
The earbuds also support automatic device pairing with Galaxy smartphones and tablets through the Quick Panel interface, enabling users to adjust volume levels and equalizer settings directly from the device interface.
Pricing and availability
Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy Buds4 Pro will retail for P14,990, while the Galaxy Buds4 will be priced at P11,490.
Both earbuds will launch alongside the Galaxy S26 series beginning March 11 in select markets.
The company said the new devices are designed to strengthen the Galaxy ecosystem by combining hardware upgrades with AI-powered features aimed at improving everyday mobile experiences.
