GADGETS | Asus launches Zenbook S16, Zenbook 14 with Ryzen AI chips in PH
Asus has launched two new AI-powered laptops in the Philippines — the Zenbook S16 and Zenbook 14 — expanding its Copilot+ PC lineup with devices built around AMD’s Ryzen AI 400 Series processors.
The new laptops are designed for users seeking on-device artificial intelligence capabilities, combining thin-and-light designs with neural processing units capable of delivering up to 50 trillion operations per second (TOPS) for AI workloads.
Both models are part of the new generation of Windows Copilot+ PCs, enabling AI-assisted features for productivity, collaboration and system optimization.
Zenbook S16 focuses on performance and large display
The Zenbook S16 (UM5606GA) is designed for professionals and creators who want a larger display while maintaining portability.
The laptop measures about 1.1 centimeters thick and weighs roughly 1.5 kilograms despite its 16-inch form factor. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 processor paired with Radeon graphics, 32GB LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB M.2 SSD.
The device features a 16-inch 3K Asus Lumina OLED touchscreen display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
The processor supports up to 50 TOPS of AI performance through its integrated neural processing unit, enabling on-device workloads such as image processing, video enhancement and productivity tasks.
Cooling is handled by a vapor chamber thermal system with dual fans and optimized airflow channels designed to maintain performance during sustained workloads.
The Zenbook S16 also includes an 83Wh battery, a six-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system and WiFi 7 connectivity.
Full-size connectivity ports include dual USB4 ports, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, an SD card reader and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Security features include Windows Hello facial recognition through an infrared camera, adaptive lock and dimming features, and Microsoft Pluton security hardware.
Zenbook 14 targets portability and everyday productivity
The Zenbook 14 (UM3406GA) is designed for users prioritizing mobility while maintaining AI-accelerated computing capabilities.
It weighs about 1.2 kilograms and measures 14.9 millimeters thick.
The laptop runs on an AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 processor with integrated Radeon graphics, paired with 16GB LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB SSD.
Its display is a 14-inch WUXGA Asus Lumina OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio and an 87% screen-to-body ratio.
The device includes WiFi 6E connectivity and a 75Wh battery designed for extended unplugged use.
Connectivity options include USB4, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.1 (TMDS) and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Additional features include Dolby Atmos speakers, an infrared camera with a physical privacy shutter, AI noise cancellation for calls and a dedicated Copilot key for quick access to Windows 11 AI features.
Availability in the Philippines
The 2026 Zenbook S16 and Zenbook 14 are available in Asus stores nationwide.
Each purchase includes a lifetime license for Office 2024 Home, one year of Microsoft 365 Basic with cloud storage, and Asus warranty coverage consisting of a two-year international warranty and one-year accidental damage protection.
