Event venues are upgrading projection systems as meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) increasingly rely on clear, large-scale visuals for presentations and audience engagement.

Industry participants said the demand is driven by the growing use of data-heavy slides, videos and real-time content in conferences and corporate events, where visibility across wide spaces is critical.

Large venues such as hotel ballrooms, convention centers and exhibition halls require projection systems that remain visible even under ambient lighting conditions, where dimming lights is not always possible.

Epson said it is offering projection solutions designed for professional event spaces, including systems that support high-brightness output and flexible installation.

One such system is the Epson EB-L690SE, a short-throw projector designed for large-format displays in confined spaces. The device can project images of up to approximately 500 inches while positioned close to the screen, helping reduce shadows and glare during presentations.

The projector uses 3LCD technology with 4K enhancement to deliver detailed visuals suited for charts, slides and video content. It is also designed to maintain image clarity in well-lit environments common in event venues.

Short-throw projection allows equipment to be placed near the screen, addressing space limitations in stages and conference setups while enabling presenters to move freely without obstructing the display.

Additional features such as flexible placement and built-in connectivity support different event formats, including keynote sessions, panel discussions, product launches and exhibitions.

“At Epson, our goal has always been to create technology that helps people share ideas more clearly. With a variety of projection solutions, we continue to build on our long history in projection innovation by delivering bright visuals, flexible setup and dependable performance for businesses and event spaces,” said Masako Kusama.

As in-person events continue to expand, organizers are expected to prioritize projection systems that deliver consistent visibility and reliability across large venues.
