Cignal is marking its 16th anniversary with a brand refresh as it pushes forward with its transformation from a pay TV provider into a full-fledged multimedia company.
The company introduced a new logo as a symbol of its evolving identity, aligning with its growth into various digital platforms and content formats. Cignal said the rebranding highlights its renewed focus on delivering diverse entertainment to Filipinos through stories that connect and resonate.
“[The logo] conveys our continuing evolution,” said Jane Jimenez-Basas, president and CEO of Cignal TV Inc. “We will continue to innovate and deliver the best content for our beloved subscribers across all our platforms.”
Cignal’s shift includes an expanded portfolio that now features content streaming, mobile viewing, and sports coverage.
Among its digital platforms is Cignal Play, an app that brings live and on-demand programming — including short-form vertical videos — to mobile users. It also showcases Cignal Originals and other local and international content.
Its sports streaming app Pilipinas Live offers live and replay access to games from leagues like the NBA, PBA, and UAAP. The platform includes interactive features such as in-game polls and multi-channel viewing. Fans can also watch behind-the-scenes content through Pilipinas Live Shorts.
Earlier this year, Cignal launched Cignal Super, the country’s first streaming aggregator. It brings together content from providers such as HBO Max, Viu, Lionsgate Play, Hallmark+, Curiosity Stream, Fuse+, and its own services — Cignal Play and Pilipinas Live — under one login and subscription.
Despite the digital push, pay TV continues to be a key part of Cignal’s content delivery, particularly via its direct-to-home satellite service. Through a partnership with PLDT, Cignal also delivers content over IP and fiber networks to homes across the country.
The company says these moves reflect its broader ambition to remain a leading media platform in the Philippines, adapting to how Filipinos consume content while expanding its reach locally and globally
