GADGETS | Logitech G512 X keyboard launches with analog-mechanical hybrid switches
The keyboard is available in 75-key and 98-key layouts and supports both analog and standard 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switches across 39 hybrid switch sockets. Logitech ships the keyboard with nine Gateron KS-20 magnetic analog switches.
Logitech G has introduced the G512 X TMR Analog/Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, a new customizable gaming keyboard aimed at PC gamers and keyboard modding enthusiasts.
Announced on May 26, the G512 X combines analog and mechanical switch technologies in a single keyboard platform. Logitech said the keyboard uses Tunnel Magneto Resistance (TMR) sensor technology, allowing users to assign actions based on how deeply a key is pressed.
The keyboard is available in 75-key and 98-key layouts and supports both analog and standard 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switches across 39 hybrid switch sockets. Logitech ships the keyboard with nine Gateron KS-20 magnetic analog switches.
Logitech said the G512 X supports an 8K polling, reporting and processing rate, with a claimed 0.125ms response time.
The keyboard also includes dual programmable dials, RGB lighting, onboard accessory storage and support for SAPP (Second Actuation Pressure Point) Rings, which allow users to assign two different actions to a single key based on pressure depth.
According to Logitech, the keyboard is designed for games requiring precise movement control, including racing, flight simulation and tactical shooter titles.
The G512 X comes in black and white variants and is positioned alongside the G502 X Plus LIGHTSPEED gaming mouse and G522 LIGHTSPEED gaming headset as part of Logitech G’s G5 Series lineup.
In the Philippines, the G512 X is priced at P11,995 for the 75 layout and P12,995 for the 98 layout. The keyboard will be available through Shopee, Lazada and authorized Logitech retail partners nationwide.
