Organizations looking to strengthen data management, protection, and AI capabilities may soon have new options after Synology previewed several upcoming products and platform updates during COMPUTEX 2026.

The announcements include the next generation of DiskStation Manager (DSM), updates to the ActiveProtect data protection platform, new surveillance and access control products, additions to the Synology Office Suite, and enhancements to the BeeStation private cloud lineup.

The upcoming DSM release is designed to support artificial intelligence workloads through GPU-enabled NAS systems and AI appliances, allowing organizations to run AI inference and governance functions on-premises. Synology said the platform will also introduce Cluster Manager, which enables multiple storage systems to be managed through a single interface while supporting workload migration, quality-of-service controls, and centralized protection.

The company also announced ActiveProtect Manager 2.0, which expands backup and recovery support to cloud, virtualized, and software-as-a-service environments, including AWS EC2, Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines, Proxmox, Nutanix AHV, and Google Workspace. The platform adds AI-based anomaly and malware detection features intended to help organizations identify potential threats earlier. Synology also introduced the DP5200 appliance, a new addition to its ActiveProtect portfolio.

In surveillance, Synology unveiled new access control products, including the AC100 door controller and AR Series readers, alongside DC Series dome cameras and updated Deep Video Analytics appliances. The company said the new analytics systems use AI tools to help security teams search video footage and track movement across multiple cameras. Surveillance365 also adds video surveillance-as-a-service capabilities that integrate with Synology’s on-premises surveillance platform for remote and multi-site monitoring.

Synology expanded its Office Suite with the addition of ChatPlus and Meet, introducing communication and collaboration tools that include AI-powered transcription and translation. The company said the services are designed to help organizations maintain control of communications data within their own environments.

For consumers, Synology announced additions to its BeeStation private cloud ecosystem, including BeeStation Plus, BeeCamera for home monitoring, and Deep Search, a local AI-powered search tool for macOS and Windows. The company said the features are intended to help users find content more quickly while keeping personal data stored locally.

Synology said the products and features presented at COMPUTEX 2026 remain part of its development roadmap. Availability and launch schedules will be announced separately.
