People can now go live on Periscope with guests, and invite up to 3 other people in their audience to join their broadcast.

Broadcasters on popular microblogging platform Twitter don’t just show the world, they bring it to life by hosting a conversation with an active audience. But sometimes comments don’t say enough and hearts get lost in the background. Sometimes, people just want to say what you’re thinking.

People can now go live on Periscope with guests, and invite up to 3 other people in their audience to join their broadcast. The chosen guests can be heard by everyone and can drop off at any time. Broadcasters can still read and respond to chats, but things get more interesting when multiple people can have a conversation together and share it with the world.

“Live video is powerful and allows for a live, synchronous conversation between a broadcaster and their audience — where the broadcaster is able to talk to their audience with their camera and voice, and viewers could talk using text,” said Kayvon Beykpour, head of product, Twitter, emphasizing the power of live video. “With this launch, we’re enabling richer conversations by allowing viewers to call in, like a talk show, and join with their voice. This makes live conversations even more fluid, and allows for new possibilities and ways people can have conversations.”

So many people have asked for a way to broadcast with guests, and Twitter said they can’t wait to see all the creative ways you go live together. Learn how to go live together here.
