SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA — Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. announced three new chipsets for smartphones that focus on powerful artificial intelligence (AI) performance to unlock the greater potential for customers in gaming and camera functions.

Qualcomm, a leading global company in wireless technologies, celebrated the 2019 AI Day in downtown San Francisco by unveiling the three mobile processors including the Snapdragon 665, Snapdragon 730, and Snapdragon 730G for mid-range and high-range Android devices to offer better experience in AI, gaming, camera, and performance.

Qualcomm said the gaming-centric chipset has lower WiFi latency to support efficient online gaming and provide smooth, fast gameplay.

“With the introduction of the Snapdragon 730, 730G and 665 Mobile Platforms, we are bringing features such as sophisticated AI, exceptional gaming and advanced camera capabilities to a broad spectrum of devices at exceptional performance,” said Kedar Kondap, vice president of product management at Qualcomm.

Qualcomm spokesperson Catherine Baker told Xinhua that the chipmaker has high hopes for the Chinese gaming market, which generated sales revenue of US$15.4 billion in 2018.

“The Snapdragon 730G is expected to hit the Chinese gaming market in the next two or three months,” she said.
