Converge ICT Solutions Inc., the country’s first pure end-to-end fiber internet service provider, is strengthening its foothold in South, Central, and North Luzon with its ‘Go Deep’ strategy.

With this roadmap, Converge aims to deepen the penetration and network reach in the existing markets, as well as expand in untapped provinces especially in North Luzon. The company continues to extensively rollout its fiber optic network to cover more cities and boost its customer service by adding manpower, communications channels, and service vehicles to proceed with its aggressive efforts despite the challenges of the pandemic.

“We see a significant potential to further penetrate Luzon, where we have already covered 49% of households as of Q1 of 2021,” said Jesus Romero, Converge chief operating officer . “There are still areas there that are not well-served and we want to address these coverage gaps with our fiber technology. Our goal is to provide affordable and high-quality internet services that these regions deserve.”

Staying committed to improving the quality of end-to-end fiber services in Luzon, Converge has fortified its network to provide high availability for its internet services while ensuring low latency. The company has officially launched its high-speed fiber broadband services in the key provinces of Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, and Cagayan in Q2 of 2021.

“Napakaganda pong gamitin ng Converge internet. Una, malaking tulong ito sa anak ko na nagmomodule,” said Jason Alba, a resident from Cauayan, Isabela. “Yung speed na 35 Mbps po napakabilis kahit po sabay sabay silang anim na magpipinsan ang nakaconnect, gumagamit ng modules at uploading para sa online class. Napakalinis at napakaganda. Smooth po yung performance at internet speed ng Converge.”

Subscribers in these provinces can now enjoy high speed boosts of up to 800 Mbps at their preferred set time, either Day or Night, with FiberX Time of Day plans. Converge now offers a no deposit or advance payment and installment of 24 months for the installation fee for new subscribers. Switchers from other internet service providers are offered with no cash out and 50% off on their monthly recurring charges for 6 months.

“We are expecting more subscriptions in the coming months as we are going to commercially launch in more locations in the second half of the year, said Romero. “Our expansion plans are strategically mapped out to ensure that we maximize our resources and network infrastructure, even beyond Luzon.”

The company also continues to improve its customer experience by enhancing its omni-channel initiatives and opening new business centers to quickly respond to various customer needs. To date, Converge has 53 business centers and 8 mobile business centers located and deployed nationwide. The company is set to open 12 new business centers in key cities of Luzon alone in the coming months, including Tuguegarao, Santiago, Vigan, and Laoag. Converge also targets to deploy additional 10 mobile business centers in Luzon in the second half of the year.

“Converge is constantly looking for ways to help address customer concerns and improve the customer experience in every touch point,” said John Paul Aguilar, head of Business Center Operations. “With these new business centers in full swing, we are able to deliver our promise to provide more Filipino homes with fast, reliable, and affordable broadband connection.”

The business centers address the needs and growing demands of the customers for ease and convenience in business transactions including sales, account or service modification, bills payments, and technical concerns.

“We are dedicated to delivering better experiences for our customers by building the right technology and infrastructure and we will continue to work hard to ensure that we are able to uplift the Filipino quality of life through our fiber technology. In the coming years, Converge looks forward to bringing this top-of-the-line technology throughout the Philippines,” Romero said.

Converge is well on track with its objective to cover 55% of total households in the Philippines or around 15 million households by year 2025.
