PLDT Global Corporation has teamed up with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) to make the 1343 Actionline—an anti-human trafficking hotline—more accessible to Filipinos living abroad. The partnership allows overseas Filipinos to call the hotline for free using the Tindahan ni Bossing (TinBo) mobile app.

Through this initiative, PLDT Global will provide zero-rated calls to the 1343 Actionline using Smart Virtual Numbers on the TinBo platform. This means users can report human trafficking cases without incurring call charges, expanding access to vital support services for overseas Filipinos.

“Our collaboration with the CFO aligns with TinBo’s promise of care and is a testament to our commitment to uplifting the lives of Filipinos wherever they are in the world,” said Albert V. Villa-Real, president and CEO of PLDT Global. “By leveraging technology, we aim to create a safer environment for our fellow Filipinos abroad.”

The CFO, a government agency under the Office of the President, advocates for the rights and welfare of overseas Filipinos, including emigrants, permanent residents, and participants in international exchange and migration programs. Under Secretary Dante Francis Ang II, the agency has prioritized efforts to combat human trafficking.

“Human trafficking remains a pressing issue among overseas Filipinos,” said Secretary Ang. “Making the 1343 Actionline accessible for free via TinBo is a crucial step in our continuing efforts to protect and support our fellow Filipinos, enabling them to report cases and connect with resources that protect their welfare.”

In addition to the free hotline access, PLDT Global and the CFO plan to roll out reintegration programs aimed at helping overseas Filipinos navigate challenges in their host countries. These programs will include training and seminars focused on re-skilling and upskilling.

The TinBo app, developed by PLDT’s international arm, is a digital marketplace that caters to Filipinos abroad. It provides access to a variety of services, including digital banking, bills payment, entertainment, and gifting, as well as government services like the 1343 Actionline and OWWA’s support hotline.
