ZTE Corporation brought its latest digital infrastructure technologies to the Philippines Cloud and Datacenter Convention 2025 in Manila, aiming to strengthen its role in Southeast Asia’s growing digital economy.
The company presented new server and data center systems designed to boost performance and lower energy use. Its full-stack servers, developed through internal R&D with over 1,500 engineers and more than 1,400 patents, include proprietary motherboards, BIOS/BMC systems, and smart network interface cards. These servers are produced in ZTE’s factories in Türkiye, Brazil, and China, with an annual output capacity of around 550,000 units.
“We are investing in technologies that not only drive performance, but also make sure that our customers can grow responsibly,” a ZTE representative said during the event.
ZTE also emphasized its focus on sustainable infrastructure, featuring cooling systems like immersion liquid cooling and indirect evaporative cooling. These options are intended to reduce energy consumption in data centers. The company says its modular construction method cuts deployment time by 40 percent while aligning with regional environmental standards.
By the end of 2024, ZTE’s data center solutions had been deployed in more than 450 cases globally, including in the Philippines, Bangladesh, and Indonesia. The company said these projects reflect a broader push to support national digital transformation strategies and the demand for energy-conscious infrastructure.
ZTE is also working with partners in Southeast Asia on cloud services, storage solutions, and smart city infrastructure. Through what it calls a dual strategy of technology sharing and local operations, the company said it is committed to meeting the unique needs of governments and businesses across the region.
“Localization is a major part of our strategy. We aren’t just exporting hardware—we are working with stakeholders on the ground to ensure solutions meet real-world needs,” the company said.
ZTE’s appearance at the Manila convention signals its continued investment in helping shape the digital future of Southeast Asia, with a focus on reliability, sustainability, and tailored solutions for emerging markets.
