Fujifilm Philippines launched the Instax WIDE Evo, a hybrid instant camera with a wide-angle lens, through a two-day exhibit titled “10:10 – Wider Stories to Tell” at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati last April 26–27, 2025.

The WIDE Evo, which followed the global success of the Instax mini Evo, allowed users to preview photos on an LCD screen before printing and offered over 100 customizable visual effects through a combination of lens filters and film styles. The camera blended analog-inspired controls with digital convenience, including smartphone connectivity and a dedicated app for browsing and replicating creative effects.

To mark its release, Fujifilm hosted an exhibit that featured works by four Filipino photographers—Jilson Tiu, Aya Cabauatan, Geloy Concepcion, and Issa Barte—each exploring personal narratives using the new camera.

Tiu’s series, “Finding Home,” captured the feeling of searching for identity across changing cityscapes. “Taking pictures is something permanent, a way to hold still what always moves,” he said. “Through pictures, I find anchors—fragments of memory, proof that I’ve been, that I’ve belonged.”

Cabauatan’s exhibit, “Pag-uruli: Where the Horizons Meet,” featured portraits and landscapes from Sorsogon and Manila. “It’s a return to the spaces that shape us, through landscapes and quiet portraits,” she said.

Concepcion, a documentary photographer based in California, shared “Moments to Memories,” a project focused on fleeting family scenes taken during limited time at home. “This project consists of photographs I managed to take of my family and places when I’m far away from them,” he said.

Barte presented “Heritage of Humanity,” a series of images from Vietnam reflecting on memory and loss. “To remember is not just to bring upon all that was beautiful,” she said. “In holding all that has been, we may have the tools to reimagine who we could be.”

The Instax WIDE Evo was made available at Fujifilm’s authorized dealers with a retail price of P22,599.
