The merged spectacle of gamescom asia and Thailand Game Show is set to bring the global gaming industry to Bangkok with a four-day event from October 16 to 19 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

Organizers have unveiled the event’s theme, “World of Gaming,” promising a comprehensive experience that bridges business and consumer interests. The event will feature two main zones: a business area for industry professionals and an entertainment area for fans and gamers.

The entertainment zone, running from October 17 to 19, will showcase major international gaming brands such as Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, Xbox, CAPCOM, Nintendo, and HoYoverse. Hardware leaders including AMD, Intel, and SteelSeries are also slated to participate. The area will feature hands-on gameplay demos, live tournaments, product launches, cosplay competitions with over 300,000 baht (about $9,300) in prizes, and an indie section debuting in Thailand with up to 80 titles from around the world.

Performances and special appearances will take place on the Main Stage, including a live rendition of the official event theme song by Thai-German singer Jannine “Ploychompoo” Weigel.

Meanwhile, the business area, open from October 16 to 17, will focus on B2B networking, showcasing exhibitors from 18 countries and regions. Highlights include country pavilions, product spotlights, investor meetups, and a student talent showcase.

Renowned game developer Glen Schofield, known for Dead Space, Call of Duty, and The Callisto Protocol, will headline the conference with a keynote on creative inspiration in game design.

More than 70 speakers from 20 countries are expected to share insights on development, publishing, and market strategy. Among the confirmed speakers are representatives from Bethesda, Avalanche Studios, Marvel Games, Gearbox, and Ubisoft.

Koelnmesse’s Asia-Pacific General Manager Prakash Ramajillu said the collaboration marks a turning point for gaming events in the region. “This year’s event marks a bold new chapter—not just for gamescom asia, but for Southeast Asia’s growing influence in the global gaming economy,” he said.

Organizers anticipate over 200,000 attendees, underscoring the region’s growing role in the global games industry. Ticket sales for the business area are now open, while entertainment area tickets go on sale starting September 1.
