PLDT Global Corp. has extended free call services and waived remittance fees for Filipinos in parts of the Middle East until April 30, 2026, amid tensions in the region.

Filipinos in Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Israel and Saudi Arabia can continue making free calls to Philippine mobile and landline networks using the Smart Virtual Number through the TinBo app, the company said.

The service also allows users to access government hotlines, including those of the Department of Migrant Workers–Overseas Workers Welfare Administration and the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking.

PLDT Global said it has also waived convenience fees for ePadala remittance transactions made through the TinBo platform for users in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates during the same period.

“Extending our free calls and ePadala services is our way of standing by Filipinos in the Middle East during this challenging time,” said Albert Villa-Real, president and chief executive officer of PLDT Global.

The Smart Virtual Number is a SIM-less Philippine mobile number available through the TinBo app that allows users to receive one-time passwords from Philippine banks and e-wallets.

The extension follows disruptions affecting parts of the Middle East and aims to help overseas Filipinos maintain communication and access financial services.
