Wordly ranked No. 521 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list after reporting 668% growth over three years, moving up 1,186 places from its No. 1,707 ranking a year earlier.

The Los Altos, California-based company also climbed from No. 196 to No. 52 among software companies, reflecting increased demand for AI-powered multilingual communication across enterprises, government, education and live events, according to the company.

Wordly said adoption of its live AI translation and captioning services has helped it surpass 1 billion minutes of translated content and 6 million users. The company also said its platform has saved customers more than $200 million compared with traditional human interpretation.

The company cited its 2026 State of AI Translation & Captions Report, which found that 66% of enterprise event planners surveyed said live AI translation exceeds the quality of human interpreters while reducing costs and logistical requirements.

“Moving up to No. 52 validates a fundamental market shift: the need for real-time multilingual content is no longer just an add-on for large industry conferences; it’s becoming a daily communication necessity,” said Lakshman Rathnam, founder and CEO of Wordly.

“Over the past year, we’ve seen businesses of all sizes, universities, and public agencies move from selective usage to regular, everyday AI-powered collaboration across meetings, town halls, and employee training,” he said.

Wordly also expanded its platform over the past year with workplace integrations, including Workspaces and deeper Microsoft Teams support. It launched real-time AI subtitles for main-stage keynotes and voice transcripts to support post-event video localization.

The company also updated its mobile app with automatic language detection and a redesigned interface for live translation at company gatherings, campus events and city council meetings.

The 2026 Inc. 5000 ranks privately held U.S. companies according to percentage revenue growth from 2022 to 2025. Companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2022, and had at least $100,000 in revenue in 2022 and $2 million in 2025.

Wordly said its services are used across corporate, education, government and nonprofit sectors in more than 120 countries.
