GADGETS | LG launches xboom Power Series party speakers

LG Electronics has launched the xboom Power Series, a new lineup of party speakers comprising the Power 9000, Power 7000 and Power 5000, with continuous output ranging from 260 to 440 watts.

The three models are designed for different gathering sizes, with the Power 9000 producing 440 watts of continuous output, the Power 7000 delivering 340 watts and the Power 5000 producing 260 watts.

The lineup combines karaoke functions, party lighting and audio technologies designed to adjust sound based on the music and listening environment.

Karaoke and party features

All three models feature LG’s AI Karaoke Master, which includes AI Vocal Remover and Key Changer. The AI Vocal Remover uses AI to remove vocals from songs in a user’s music library, while Key Changer adjusts the pitch to accommodate different vocal ranges.

The speakers also have dual microphone inputs for duets, along with Multicolor AI Lighting and DJ Performance Effects.

A Smart Stand allows users to position a smartphone or tablet on the speaker to display lyrics.

LG said the karaoke functions can be activated without dedicated karaoke tracks, allowing users to work with songs already in their music libraries.

Adaptive audio

The xboom Power Series includes AI Sound, which adjusts audio settings according to the genre being played, and Space Calibration Pro, which adjusts sound output based on the size and layout of the surrounding area.

Sound Field Enhance is designed to widen the soundstage, while Auracast allows compatible xboom speakers to be linked for synchronized playback and expanded coverage.

The speakers use xboom Signature Sound, which LG said was tuned by multiple Grammy Award-winning artist will.i.am.

“The best parties are the ones where people participate, not just listen,” said Lee Jeong-seok, head of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company’s Audio Business.

“With the LG xboom Power Series, we are creating a more interactive and inclusive way for people to connect through music, turning gatherings of every size into the kind of parties people remember long after the music stops,” Lee said.

Three models

The flagship Power 9000 has dual 10-inch woofers and dual 1-inch horn tweeters. It weighs 26.2 kilograms and measures 375 by 1,154.5 by 389.5 millimeters. It has built-in gliding wheels and a handle for transport.

LG lists its sound coverage at approximately 2,000 square meters.

The Power 7000 has a 10-inch woofer and dual 1-inch horn tweeters. It weighs 18.7 kilograms and measures 365 by 879.5 by 347.5 millimeters. It has side handles and a stated coverage of approximately 800 square meters.

The Power 5000 uses an 8-inch woofer and dual 2-inch tweeters. It weighs 14.8 kilograms and measures 365 by 730.5 by 347.2 millimeters, with stated coverage of approximately 400 square meters.

The three models offer EQ settings for Standard, Bass Boost, Clear Voice and Custom.

LG said the xboom Power Series will be available in select markets beginning Aug. 17, 2026. Pricing, availability and specifications may vary by region.
