GADGETS | Philips Home Access, Lazada partner for exclusive 11.11 smart lock launch
Philips said the partnership with popular e-commerce platform Lazada reflects its goal of making advanced home security systems more accessible to Filipino households through major online platforms.

Philips Home Access is entering the peak e-commerce season with an exclusive product launch on Lazada, introducing its latest flagship smart door lock during the online platform’s annual 11.11 sale event from November 7 to 13, 2025.
The new DDL902-MFVP-11HWS, part of the Philips 9000 Series, marks the brand’s most advanced model to date and highlights the company’s focus on secure, design-driven smart home access. The launch coincides with Lazada’s biggest sales week of the year, when consumer traffic typically spikes ahead of the Christmas shopping season.
The DDL902-MFVP-11HWS smart lock will be available exclusively through the Philips Home Access official flagship store on Lazada Philippines, with limited quantities offered during the campaign. Shoppers can receive as much as P25,000 worth of bundled freebies and discounts of up to P15,000 on selected models.
Philips said the partnership reflects its goal of making advanced home security systems more accessible to Filipino households through major online platforms. The 11.11 event also positions Lazada as a launchpad for high-value connected devices rather than just a clearance sale venue.

Smart security and design
Built with zinc and aluminum alloys, the Philips 9000 Series lock combines durability with a minimalist design. It features a push-pull handle, hidden fingerprint sensor, and black obsidian finish aimed at complementing modern home interiors.
Inside, the lock integrates three cameras to provide multiple viewing angles for homeowners to monitor visitors, deliveries, or indoor activity directly from their smartphones.
For access control, the device supports multiple authentication methods — including touchless 3D live face recognition, palm vein scanning, PIN/password, card or key tag, and a mechanical key backup — offering flexibility and redundancy for enhanced security.
The model’s Li-polymer battery can power the unit for up to three months per charge, reducing the need for frequent maintenance and aligning with Philips’ pledge toward more sustainable product design.
Philips Home Access said its collaboration with Lazada is part of a broader strategy to tap into the Philippines’ expanding smart home segment. The market, once limited to early adopters, is now reaching a wider base of homeowners seeking convenience, automation, and security.
Industry observers note that major e-commerce platforms are becoming the dominant retail channel for smart home products in Southeast Asia. The convenience of online purchasing, integrated delivery, and after-sales support is driving more consumers to buy connected devices such as cameras, sensors, and locks directly from verified online stores rather than physical retailers.
By partnering with Lazada for an exclusive rollout, Philips Home Access is also leveraging the platform’s trust and payment infrastructure, ensuring that buyers receive authentic products and official warranty coverage — a critical factor in the growing but still fragmented smart device market.

The 11.11 campaign underscores how brand manufacturers now treat online sales events as full-scale launch opportunities. With heightened consumer engagement and aggressive platform promotions, 11.11 has become a key moment for brands to showcase innovation and gather early feedback.
In the Philippines, where digital retail penetration continues to rise, the tie-up highlights how consumer behavior increasingly merges online discovery with secure digital payment and logistics. The Philips–Lazada collaboration is thus both a marketing event and a test bed for long-term e-commerce integration.
As the sale window approaches, Philips Home Access has urged shoppers to add the new lock to their carts early to secure units before stocks run out. The company said the DDL902-MFVP-11HWS is suited for main residential doors and premium apartment installations, bringing enterprise-grade access control into home environments.
The move reinforces Philips’ broader vision for smart living ecosystems, in which everyday functions — from entry access to environmental controls — are managed through connected devices. By offering its latest lock via a major marketplace, Philips is signaling its commitment to scaling smart home adoption beyond niche urban markets.
For consumers, the launch offers a glimpse of how contactless, AI-enhanced recognition is shaping the next phase of residential security. With traditional keys fading out and biometrics becoming mainstream, smart locks like the DDL902-MFVP-11HWS show how intelligent design and accessibility converge for digital-first homeowners.
