GADGETS | Reno15 Series, A6 Pro headline OPPO’s new PH smartphone push
OPPO is rolling out the Reno15 Series 5G on Feb. 13, positioning it as a midrange device built for video-first storytelling.

Two new smartphones are entering the Philippine market this week, each targeting a different segment — one focused on travel content creation and the other on durability and battery life.
OPPO is rolling out the Reno15 Series 5G on Feb. 13, positioning it as a midrange device built for video-first storytelling. At the same time, the company is expanding its A-series lineup with the A6 Pro in 4G and 5G variants, emphasizing rugged build quality and extended battery capacity.
The Reno15 Series 5G centers on imaging features. It supports 4K Ultra-Steady Video, aimed at smoother handheld clips, alongside a 50MP ultra-wide front camera designed for group selfies and travel shots. It also includes AI Motion Photo Popout and a 3.5x telephoto portrait mode intended to add depth and subject separation in photos.
While full local specifications and pricing have yet to be disclosed, the device is framed as a lifestyle-oriented smartphone for users who create and share short-form content. The design features what OPPO calls a “Dancing Aurora” finish, suggesting a focus on aesthetics alongside camera hardware.
In contrast, the A6 Pro line leans toward endurance and physical resilience.
The A6 Pro carries an IP69 rating for dust and high-pressure water resistance, a level uncommon in its price bracket. It also features reinforced construction with shock-resistant materials designed to withstand drops and impacts.
Battery capacity is a key highlight. The A6 Pro 4G packs a 7,000 mAh battery, while the 5G variant carries a 6,500 mAh cell. Both support 80W fast charging and reverse wired charging, allowing the device to function as a power bank for other devices.
Local pricing is as follows:
The A6 Pro 4G (8GB + 256GB) is priced at P15,999.
The A6 Pro 5G starts at P13,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model and P18,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant.
The Reno15 Series 5G is scheduled for Philippine release on Feb. 13, with pricing details to be announced separately.
The launches show a split strategy: one device targeting content-driven urban users, the other focusing on durability and long battery life for heavy daily use.
