TELECOM | PLDT launches Metro TRACC for enterprise cloud connectivity
By routing traffic locally through VITRO Makati 2, the service enables enterprises to access cloud providers through their local presence in the facility.

PLDT Enterprise has launched a new connectivity service designed to improve how businesses access cloud platforms through local data center infrastructure.
The service, called Metro Ethernet Trusted Route for Accelerated Cloud Connectivity (Metro TRACC), directly connects enterprise sites to VITRO Makati 2 using carrier Ethernet, enabling faster and more secure access to cloud services.
Metro TRACC provides a dedicated private network path, allowing enterprises to bypass international routing and reduce latency for mission-critical workloads. The setup is intended to improve performance, reliability and service quality for businesses operating in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
“Metro TRACC allows enterprises to experience the full potential of cloud computing by providing a direct, secure, and high-performance route to leading cloud platforms,” said Nico Alcoseba, first vice president and head of Enterprise Product Management and Innovations at PLDT Enterprise.
By routing traffic locally through VITRO Makati 2, the service enables enterprises to access cloud providers through their local presence in the facility. This approach is expected to deliver lower latency and more consistent performance compared with traditional international routing.
PLDT Enterprise said the service also simplifies network management by consolidating connectivity into a single offering, eliminating the need to manage separate Metro Ethernet and cross-connect arrangements. This can accelerate deployment and reduce operational complexity for enterprise users.
The company said Metro TRACC is designed to support secure data transmission, offering enhanced data protection for businesses handling critical applications and workloads.
The launch is part of PLDT Enterprise’s broader push to expand its enterprise connectivity portfolio by combining its fixed network capabilities with VITRO’s data center ecosystem.
The collaboration aims to provide enterprises with scalable and locally anchored infrastructure as demand for cloud services continues to grow across industries.
