GADGETS | LG outlines Asia strategy, new appliances at InnoFest 2026
LG said the showcase focused on appliances designed for local housing conditions and consumer needs, including laundry, kitchen and built-in systems.
LG Electronics presented its Asia-Pacific strategy and new home appliance lineup at LG InnoFest 2026 APAC, held April 7–10 in Busan, South Korea.
The event brought together more than 200 partners and media representatives from about 20 countries, as the company detailed plans to expand region-specific products and AI-enabled home solutions in Asia.
LG said the showcase focused on appliances designed for local housing conditions and consumer needs, including laundry, kitchen and built-in systems.
The company introduced an expanded WashTower lineup, including a 25-inch model designed for smaller spaces. New top-load washers feature artificial intelligence-based fabric detection, while an all-in-one washer-dryer uses heat pump technology for energy efficiency.
In kitchen appliances, LG presented refrigerators designed for tighter spaces, along with dishwashers featuring a one-hour wash-and-dry cycle. The company also introduced an oven equipped with a camera that can identify ingredients and suggest cooking settings.
LG said it is expanding built-in kitchen solutions in Southeast Asia for both business and consumer segments.
The company also demonstrated its connected home system, which links appliances and devices through a central platform. The system is scheduled for rollout in select Asia-Pacific markets, including Australia and Thailand.
LG said it plans to expand its appliance subscription service in Asia, covering markets such as Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and Vietnam.
