TELECOM | PLDT, S.P. Madrid expand secure operations for financial sector
The partnership addresses increasing pressure on financial institutions to manage growing credit portfolios while maintaining performance and data protection standards.

S.P. Madrid Corp. is expanding its nationwide operations in the Philippines through a partnership with PLDT Enterprise, aimed at strengthening mobile connectivity and data security for financial services work.
The collaboration equips S.P. Madrid’s field teams with Smart Postpaid Plans bundled with devices, supporting real-time coordination across its operations. The company, which has nearly 3,000 employees across the Philippines, Singapore, and the UAE, manages credit recovery and financial servicing for banks and financial institutions.
Operating across 18 branches nationwide, S.P. Madrid relies on continuous communication to coordinate field, call, and legal recovery services. The expanded deployment of mobile connectivity is expected to improve responsiveness and maintain service continuity as demand for credit recovery services grows.
Blums Pineda, senior vice president and head of enterprise business group at PLDT Enterprise, said the partnership supports industries that depend on timely coordination.
“Field teams are at the frontlines of service delivery, especially in industries that rely on timely engagement and coordination,” Pineda said. “Through our partnership with S.P. Madrid, we are supporting their operations with mobile solutions that help keep teams connected in real time while laying the foundation for more secure and resilient operations as their needs evolve.”
The partnership also addresses increasing pressure on financial institutions to manage growing credit portfolios while maintaining performance and data protection standards. Secure connectivity is seen as critical to sustaining operational efficiency and customer trust.
Ian Madrid, CEO of S.P. Madrid, said connectivity and security are key to scaling operations responsibly.
“As financial institutions face increasing pressure to maintain healthy portfolios while protecting customer trust, secure and reliable field connectivity becomes essential. Through our partnership with PLDT Enterprise, we are strengthening both operational responsiveness and data security—critical foundations as we continue to scale responsibly,” Madrid said.
Beyond mobile services, the collaboration opens access to additional enterprise solutions, including mobile device management, messaging platforms, multi-cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data center services. These are intended to support scalability, compliance, and digital resilience requirements.
The partnership reflects a broader push to integrate connectivity and IT infrastructure as financial service providers modernize operations amid rising demand and economic pressures.
