GADGETS | ASUS launches AI-powered ExpertBook laptops in Philippines

ASUS Philippines has launched two new AI-powered business laptops, the ExpertBook P5 G2 and ExpertBook P3 G2, targeting executives, hybrid workers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and other professionals seeking AI-enhanced productivity tools.

The new laptops are powered by AMD Ryzen processors with dedicated neural processing units (NPUs) designed to accelerate artificial intelligence workloads on-device rather than through cloud-based services.

The ExpertBook P5 G2 is equipped with up to an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX processor capable of delivering up to 55 TOPS (trillions of operations per second) of AI performance. It supports up to 96GB of DDR5 memory and up to 6TB of SSD storage. ASUS said the device is certified as a Microsoft Copilot+ PC, enabling access to AI-powered productivity features available through Microsoft’s platform.

The laptop also includes ASUS AI ExpertMeet collaboration tools that provide meeting transcription, translated subtitles in more than 40 languages, AI noise cancellation, and camera enhancements for video conferencing.

Meanwhile, the ExpertBook P3 G2 is aimed at hybrid workers and administrators. Available in 14-inch and 16-inch models, it is powered by up to an AMD Ryzen 7 processor with AI acceleration capabilities and supports up to 96GB of memory and up to 6TB of storage. The device also includes ASUS AI ExpertMeet features for virtual collaboration.

Both laptops feature MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification and include security features such as TPM 2.0 hardware encryption, fingerprint authentication, webcam privacy shields, and BIOS protection compliant with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-155 standard.

Connectivity options include USB 4 Type-C, USB 3.2 Type-C, USB Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 Ethernet, Bluetooth 5.4, and optional Wi-Fi 7 support.

The ASUS ExpertBook P5 G2 is priced from P87,995, while the ExpertBook P3 G2 starts at P69,995. Both are now available through authorized ASUS Business resellers and technology retailers nationwide.
