VinFast Auto reported a 41.7% increase in first-quarter revenue and a 61% rise in electric vehicle (EV) deliveries, driven by growth in Vietnam and expanding sales in overseas markets, including the Philippines, India and Indonesia.

The Vietnamese automaker said it delivered 58,577 EVs in the quarter ended March 31, 2026, up from the same period a year earlier. International markets accounted for about 8% of total deliveries.

Revenue reached VND23.1 trillion ($920.7 million) during the quarter, supported by higher EV sales volumes in Vietnam and contributions from international markets.

In Vietnam, EV deliveries increased 53% year over year. VinFast said it has maintained its position as the country’s top automotive original equipment manufacturer since September 2024.

The company also delivered 143,136 electric scooters and e-bikes in the first quarter, up 219% from a year earlier. In March, VinFast reported receiving more than 135,000 e-scooter orders and shipping more than 93,000 units to dealers in Vietnam.

VinFast said it ranked as the leading battery electric vehicle brand in the Philippines at the end of the quarter. It also ranked fourth in India and eighth in Indonesia.

The company continued expanding its retail and after-sales operations, ending the quarter with 447 showrooms worldwide. VinFast recently signed memoranda of understanding with 29 after-sales partners and said it aims to expand its global service network to more than 1,100 workshops in 2026.
