TELECOM | Smart expands retail store network in Pangasinan, East Ortigas
The retail expansion comes as the PLDT Group continues network upgrades and capacity improvements for LTE and 5G services to address growing mobile data demand.

Smart Communications Inc. has expanded and upgraded its retail store network in Pangasinan and Pasig City as part of efforts to improve customer access to mobile and digital services.
The telecommunications company recently refreshed its Smart Stores at SM Urdaneta and SM Dagupan in Pangasinan and opened an upgraded store at SM City East Ortigas in Pasig City. The expansion is aimed at providing customers with easier access to connectivity services, digital solutions, and in-person support.
Smart said Pangasinan remains a key market due to its growing population, expanding business activity, and increasing demand for mobile and digital services. The upgraded stores are intended to support residents and businesses by offering access to communication services, digital transactions, and online platforms.
The Smart Store at SM City East Ortigas serves customers from Pasig, Cainta, and Rizal. It provides services including postpaid and prepaid SIM activation, plan applications, device sales, billing and account management, technical support, and reloading services.
“These new Smart Stores are more than just retail spaces—they’re hubs for connection, empowerment, and service,” said Eden Techico, vice president and head of Retail Operations and Transformation at Smart.
“We are proud to bring a more personalized and elevated customer experience where customers can explore digital solutions and access support that meets their evolving needs,” she added.
Techico said some customers who attended the store blessing events have been Smart subscribers for more than 20 years and continue to maintain multiple mobile lines.
The retail expansion comes as the PLDT Group continues network upgrades and capacity improvements for LTE and 5G services to address growing mobile data demand. Smart said the initiative is part of broader efforts to improve customer service through enhanced network performance, support services, and physical retail channels.
