GADGETS | Apple Watch lineup offered with Smart plans
The Apple Watch SE 3 focuses on health, fitness, safety and connectivity features, while the Series 11 adds more advanced health and fitness capabilities.
Apple Watch models are now available with Smart Postpaid Plans with Device, giving subscribers access to cellular connectivity, health and fitness tracking, safety features and contactless payments from their wrist.
The lineup includes the Apple Watch SE 3, Apple Watch Series 11 and Apple Watch Ultra 3, with Smart plans starting at P999. Monthly device payments start at P692 for the Apple Watch SE 3, P1,321 for the Apple Watch Series 11 and P2,275 for the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
Participating bank partners also offer 0% installment plans.
The Apple Watch SE 3 focuses on health, fitness, safety and connectivity features, while the Series 11 adds more advanced health and fitness capabilities. The Ultra 3 is positioned for sports and outdoor activities.
Smart Device Link allows Apple Watch users to share their primary mobile number and mobile plan with their smartwatch for P199 per month. The service supports calls, text messages and mobile data when the paired iPhone is not nearby.
First-time Smart Device Link users can get a six-month free trial until Sept. 30.
Apple Watch also supports health and wellness functions that vary by model, including heart-rate and sleep tracking, ECG, Sleep Score, workout tracking, Crash Detection and Emergency SOS.
Apple Pay enables contactless payments directly from the Apple Watch.
Smart said the devices can connect through its 5G network across the Apple Watch, iPhone and other digital services.
The Apple Watch models are available through the Smart Online Store and Smart Stores.
