GADGETS | ASUS ExpertBook Ultra brings 0.99kg AI laptop to Cebu, Davao
The ExpertBook Ultra weighs as little as 0.99 kilograms and measures 10.9 millimeters thick.
A lightweight business laptop with a built-in AI processor and up to 26 hours of battery life is now being offered to businesses and professionals in Cebu and Davao following its regional launches earlier this month.
The ASUS ExpertBook Ultra made its regional debut at NUSTAR Resort Cebu on Sept. 7 and 8, followed by an event at Dusit D2 in Davao City on Sept. 11. ASUS said the two launches drew more than 1,000 business leaders, IT decision-makers, partners, clients and media.
The ExpertBook Ultra weighs as little as 0.99 kilograms and measures 10.9 millimeters thick. It is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra X9-388H processor with a dedicated NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS and a total platform performance of up to 180 TOPS. Graphics are handled by an Intel Arc B390 GPU.
Memory can be configured with up to 64GB of LPDDR5x running at 8,533 MT/s, while storage goes up to a 2TB PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD.
The 14-inch display uses a 16:10 WQXGA+ resolution of 2,880 × 1,800 pixels. Depending on configuration, the laptop is offered with either a Tandem OLED or Polymer OLED panel, with touch capability, anti-glare treatment and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and Gorilla Matte protection. The listed brightness reaches up to 600 nits, with HDR peak brightness of up to 1,400 nits on the Tandem OLED version.
The laptop has a 70Wh four-cell lithium-polymer battery and supports Wi-Fi 7 through a triple-band 2×2 wireless configuration, along with Bluetooth 6.0.
Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 TMDS port and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.
For business users, security features include a dedicated security processor, dual self-healing BIOS ROM, TPM 2.0, Microsoft Pluton, match-on-chip fingerprint authentication, Windows Hello IR, a physical webcam shield and chassis intrusion alert. The system supports up to Windows 11 Pro.
The ExpertBook Ultra is also a Copilot+ PC and includes ASUS MyExpert among its built-in AI features. ASUS lists Morn Grey and Jet Fog as available colors.
The laptop is priced starting at P129,995 in the Philippines. ASUS is also offering up to P6,000 off plus a free 100W GaN charger until Oct. 18, 2026, for purchases through its official ExpertBook stores on Shopee and Lazada.
