GADGETS | Epson leads ASEAN printer market in four categories

Epson led four printer categories across ASEAN in 2025, according to market research firm International Data Corp. (IDC), with the company recording gains in several Southeast Asian markets.
IDC recognized Epson as the leading brand in Large Format Printing, Graphic Textile, Photo Graphic (Aqueous Ink) and Signage for calendar year 2025, according to the company.
In Large Format Printing, Epson held a 21.1% market share across ASEAN, up from 19.2% in 2024. Its market share increased to 26.9% in the Philippines, 23.2% in Indonesia and 28.3% in Thailand. It also held shares of 32.8% in Singapore and 16.8% in Malaysia.
Epson’s Graphic Textile business accounted for 45.6% of the ASEAN market, compared with 43% the previous year. The company reported market shares of 60% in Singapore, 59.1% in Indonesia, 54.6% in the Philippines and 25.3% in Thailand.
In Photo Graphic (Aqueous Ink), Epson retained the top position in ASEAN with a 22.3% regional market share. It also led in Singapore with 56.8%, Indonesia with 32.2%, Thailand with 27.9% and Malaysia with 23.6%.
The company increased its Signage market share from 10.5% in 2024 to 11.1% in 2025. It recorded shares of 54.5% in Singapore, 37.5% in Thailand and 22% in Malaysia.
Epson introduced three signage printers in 2025 — the SureColor S7130, S8130 and S9130 — using Eco Solvent, Latex and Solvent ink technologies.

This is a direct affirmation of our ongoing commitment to innovation and delivering high-quality printing solutions throughout ASEAN,” said Hattori Tai, regional director of Commercial and Industrial Products at Epson Southeast Asia.
Epson also cited its participation in ITMA 2025 in Singapore, where it showcased dye-sublimation models and launched a white paper on digital textile printing trends in Southeast Asia.
