TELECOM | Smart launches P99 Home WiFi SIM
The Smart Home WiFi SIM 99 is designed for open-line Home WiFi routers and compatible Smart and PLDT Home WiFi devices with expired or inactive SIMs.
Smart Communications has launched a P99 Home WiFi SIM with 2GB of non-expiring data for compatible Home WiFi routers, giving users an option to reuse existing devices without buying new hardware.
The Smart Home WiFi SIM 99 is designed for open-line Home WiFi routers and compatible Smart and PLDT Home WiFi devices with expired or inactive SIMs. It is available at Smart Stores, authorized retail outlets and distributors nationwide, as well as through the Smart Online Store.
The SIM includes 2GB of non-expiring data and can also be used to register for Smart Home WiFi’s BIG DATA and UNLI promos.
Smart said the offering is intended for households and other users who rely on prepaid Home WiFi, particularly in areas where fiber connectivity is not yet available. Potential users include families connecting multiple devices, dormers and boarders, and small businesses.
“With the Smart Home WiFi SIM 99, we are giving customers a convenient and affordable way to make the most of their existing Home WiFi devices and enjoy Smart’s connectivity for seamless online activities, whether they are working, studying, streaming, gaming, or simply staying connected with loved ones,” said Lloyd R. Manaloto, first vice president and OIC for Smart.
The SIM is 5G-ready and provides access to Smart’s 5G network where available. Smart said users can manage their Home WiFi data offers through the Smart App and register the SIM through its official SIM Registration portal.
The company also cited an Ookla recognition for the first half of 2026, when Smart recorded a Video Score of 72.82 and was named the Philippines’ leading mobile operator for video experience.
