TELECOM | AI.Smart targets prepaid users with low-cost access to multiple AI models
The entry-level package costs P49 for seven days, while a 30-day package costs P499 and can be shared by up to 10 users.
Access to several major AI models is being packaged into a single service that lets Filipino users pay through their mobile accounts, potentially lowering the barriers to using paid AI tools.
AI.Smart, developed by Amihan Global Strategies and powered by Avtica, brings models including Amazon Nova, ChatGPT, Claude and Google Gemini into a browser-based workspace for Smart and TNT subscribers. The service also supports English, Filipino and Taglish interactions.
Instead of requiring separate subscriptions for individual AI services, AI.Smart uses a credit-pack system. Subscribers can sign up using their mobile number and an SMS verification code, with payment charged through prepaid load or postpaid billing. Credit and debit cards and select e-wallets are also supported.

The service automatically selects an AI model based on the user’s prompt, rather than requiring users to decide which model to use for a particular task. It can generate text and images, create documents and presentations, and analyze data.
Lloyd R. Manaloto, Smart first vice president and OIC, said the service was designed to broaden access to AI tools.
“AI should be for everyone, not just for those who can afford premium AI services. With AI.Smart, we are making AI more inclusive by bringing powerful AI models and tools together in one affordable platform, giving more Filipinos the opportunity to use AI to learn, create, work smarter, and achieve more,” Manaloto said.
The approach also places mobile billing at the center of AI access. Users do not need to maintain separate accounts and payment arrangements for each AI model included in the workspace.
AI.Smart also incorporates privacy controls for uploaded files. According to the company, files uploaded to a user’s workspace are kept private and are not used to train AI models. Subscriber data is not retained and is encrypted, with data handling subject to the Philippine Data Privacy Act.
The service can be accessed through a browser and can be used over Smart’s mobile network, including 5G.
Rather than positioning AI.Smart simply as another chatbot, its model combines multiple AI systems, a common workspace and mobile-based payment into a single subscription structure. For users who want access to several AI services without maintaining separate subscriptions, the main change is as much in how the services are accessed and paid for as in the AI tools themselves.
