Following the phreatic eruption of the Taal Volcano over the weekend, some areas in Batangas, Cavite and Laguna, may still experience limited mobile signal due to damage to our facilities and/or lack of commercial power.
Following the phreatic eruption of the Taal Volcano over the weekend, some areas in Batangas, Cavite and Laguna, may still experience limited mobile signal due to damage to our facilities and/or lack of commercial power.
Smart’s prepositioned teams of engineers and technicians in these areas are working round-the-clock in close coordination with local government units to immediately restore communications services.
Below is the list of affected areas with limited mobile signal:
BATANGAS
Laurel and Tanauan
CAVITE
Alfonso, Amadeo, Indang, Mendez, Silang and Tagaytay
LAGUNA
Calamba and Canlubang

Communications Aid/Assistance
Smart has provided communications support for Metropolitan Manila Development Authority volunteers who are assisting residents in Batangas affected by the eruption of Taal Volcano.
The company provided load credits to the MMDA personnel to help facilitate communication during evacuation, rescue, and relief operations.
Smart is also coordinating with the Philippine Red Cross and PHIVOLCS for the same purpose.
Libreng Charging services will soon be available at the PLDT Tagaytay Office, General Aguinaldo Highway, Barangay Kaybagal South, Tagaytay City.
