An P8.8 billion ‘smoke-free’ poducts facility in Tanauan City, Batangas was inaugurated by Philip Morris International (PMI) and PMFTC executives.
Philip Morris International (PMI) and PMFTC’s top executives, together with key government dignitaries, gather to inaugurate its P8.8 billion Smoke-Free Products Facility in Tanauan City, Batangas. The new manufacturing wing in PMFTC’s factory will produce specially designed heated tobacco sticks BLENDS for BONDS by IQOS.
“The opening of this state-of-the-art facility marks another significant milestone in our commitment to a smoke-free Philippines,” said Jacek Olczak, PMI chief executive, in a short speech during the ceremonies.
Leading the ribbon cutting ceremony were (from left) PMI Region President Frederic De Wilde, PMFTC Manufacturing Director Elvio Rocco, PMI Senior Vice President Operations Scott Coutts, PMI Chief Executive Officer Jacek Olczak, First Lady of the Republic of the Philippines Louise Araneta-Marcos, PMFTC President Denis Gorkun, PMFTC Board of Director Michael Tan, LT Group President Lucio Tan III and Department of Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr.
