Toyota Motor Philippines is doubling down on its reputation as the go-to brand for Filipino car buyers, offering a wide array of vehicles and services tailored to meet diverse mobility needs. With more than three decades of operations in the country, the company continues to lead the local automotive market through a mix of quality, innovation, and trusted after-sales support.
As Toyota remains the world’s top-selling car brand, its local subsidiary underscores the importance of providing multiple vehicle options—from traditional internal combustion engines (ICE) to hybrid and battery-electric vehicles. Models like the Camry, Corolla Altis, Corolla Cross, RAV4, and Alphard now come with hybrid variants, along with newer additions like the Zenix and Yaris Cross.
The brand first introduced hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) in the Philippines in 2009 with the launch of the Prius. Since then, it has consistently expanded its electrified lineup, offering more fuel-efficient options to help customers cut back on emissions and fuel costs.
“Toyota has been the trusted brand of Filipinos since 1989,” the company said in a statement, noting how long-lasting models like the Revo and Corolla remain on Philippine roads as a testament to durability. The Toyota Hilux, in particular, continues to be a popular choice, recognized not only for reliability but also for its strong resale value.
With 75 dealerships and eight service centers nationwide, Toyota has built a strong physical presence across the country. It recently opened a new dealership in Ilocos Sur, and with Filipino car buyers still preferring in-person shopping, these locations offer test drives, repairs, financing, and even pre-owned units through the T-SURE program.
Toyota also supports digital tools like the myToyota app for maintenance tracking and Kinto One for car leasing options. On-site facilities at dealerships cater to a customer-first experience, where visitors can browse genuine parts and accessories, enjoy coffee while waiting, or speak with experts about their vehicle concerns.
Behind its product strategy is Toyota’s Japanese practice of “Goyokiki,” or talking directly to customers to understand their needs. This customer-first mindset influenced the development of the recently launched Next Generation Tamaraw, shaped through conversations with Filipino business owners.
As the local auto industry continues to shift toward sustainability, Toyota says it is committed to innovation and safety, integrating features such as Toyota Safety Sense and dynamic control systems into its lineup.
“When people ask, ‘Which brand is right for me?’ the answer is clear,” the company said. “Choose one that’s proven, complete, and committed to supporting your journey. That’s Toyota.”
