GADGETS | LG rolls out AI washer-dryer combo in Philippines
The washer-dryer uses AI Direct Drive technology to detect fabric types and adjust washing motions to reduce wear while maintaining cleaning performance.
LG Electronics Philippines has launched a front-load washer-dryer combo with artificial intelligence features, aimed at improving laundry efficiency for households during the summer season.
The 15/8 kg appliance combines washing and drying functions in a single unit and includes features focused on fabric care, hygiene and smart connectivity.
The washer-dryer uses AI Direct Drive technology to detect fabric types and adjust washing motions to reduce wear while maintaining cleaning performance. It also includes a rapid wash feature that can complete a cycle in about 39 minutes.
A steam function is designed to reduce dust mites that may cause allergies, while the inverter direct drive motor operates without belts or pulleys to support stable performance.
The unit is built with a slimmer profile while maintaining drum capacity, allowing it to fit into smaller living spaces. It also supports remote access through LG ThinQ, enabling users to monitor laundry status, download cycles and track energy use.
The system includes a pet care cycle designed to help reduce odors from heavily soiled fabrics.
“Summer often means more movement—whether it’s spending time outdoors, traveling, or simply keeping up with everyday routines in warmer weather,” said Changhee Doh, product director for home solutions at LG Electronics Philippines. “With the LG Front Load AI Combo Washer Dryer, we designed a solution that helps simplify clothing care.”
The product is available through LG’s online store and authorized dealers nationwide.
