Synology PAS7700 Now Generally Available in Philippines to Support Mission-Critical Enterprise Workloads

Synology has launched the PAS7700 in the Philippines, introducing an enterprise-grade all-flash NVMe storage system designed for high-performance and mission-critical operations as organizations expand AI, analytics and data-intensive workloads.

The PAS7700 is an active-active storage platform built with dual controllers and 48 NVMe SSD bays in a 4U chassis. The system can scale up to 1.65 petabytes of raw storage capacity through seven expansion units and supports file and block storage protocols including NVMe-oF, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SMB and NFS.

According to Synology, the platform delivers up to 2 million input/output operations per second (IOPS), latency below one millisecond and sequential throughput of up to 30 GB/s using up to 2,048 GB of memory and 100GbE networking.

The company said the system is aimed at industries such as manufacturing, semiconductor design, game development, healthcare and data centers, where large-scale workloads and continuous uptime are critical.

Synology said the PAS7700 uses an active-active architecture that allows both controllers to operate simultaneously, helping reduce service interruptions if hardware or network failures occur. The system also includes triple-parity RAID, mirrored write cache protection, IP failover and automatic failover features to improve reliability.

The platform supports Self-Encrypting Drives, immutable snapshots, WORM folders, Snapshot Replication and Hyper Backup to strengthen cybersecurity protection and data recovery capabilities.

“As businesses in the Philippines continue to accelerate digital transformation, reliable and resilient data infrastructure has become essential to maintaining competitiveness and ensuring uninterrupted operations,” said Claire Huang.

The PAS7700 also supports online and offline deduplication to reduce storage consumption and extend SSD lifespan. Synology said future updates will add Synology Tiering, which automatically moves infrequently accessed data to high-capacity storage systems.

The system runs on DSM Enterprise, Synology’s enterprise storage operating system, and is now available through the company’s global partner and distributor network.
