BUSINESS TECH | Salesforce expands AI, Slack CRM tools for Philippine small businesses
Salesforce said Agentforce is now built into its Free, Starter, and Pro Salesforce Suites at no additional cost or setup.

Salesforce has expanded its artificial intelligence offerings for small businesses in the Philippines by integrating its Agentforce AI platform into Salesforce Suites and introducing Slack CRM, aiming to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) automate routine work and improve customer relationship management.
The company said the new capabilities are designed to help Filipino businesses reduce administrative tasks, improve sales and customer service workflows, and manage customer interactions from a single platform.
Salesforce cited data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas showing that SMEs account for 99.6% of businesses in the country but contribute only about 40% of gross domestic product. Despite growing interest in digital transformation, adoption of digital tools among SMEs remains at around 20%, highlighting the need for affordable and easy-to-use AI solutions.
Agentforce is now embedded across Salesforce Free, Starter, and Pro Suites without additional setup or licensing costs. The AI features enable users to summarize customer records, generate personalized emails, and review customer activity directly within the customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
Businesses using the Starter and Pro Suites can also activate the Employee Agent, an AI assistant that provides contextual information, drafts communications, and logs customer interactions through conversational prompts.
According to Salesforce, the integrated AI tools are intended to help small businesses prepare for customer meetings more efficiently, automate follow-up communications, and reduce manual data entry while keeping sales pipelines updated.
The company said the AI capabilities run on its Agentforce 360 platform, which connects enterprise data, users, and AI while maintaining security controls and customer data governance.
In addition to the AI enhancements, Salesforce introduced Slack CRM for small businesses using Slack as their primary collaboration platform.
Slack CRM allows users to create and update customer contacts, manage sales leads and opportunities, and record customer interactions directly within Slack conversations through Slackbot. Salesforce said businesses can later expand to more advanced CRM capabilities without migrating customer data.
“SMBs are the backbone of the country’s economy. Agentic AI provides these organizations the means to make exponential impact without the time and effort typically required for enterprise-scale transformation,” said Vernon Cheo, head of Emerging Small and Medium Business at Salesforce ASEAN.
Phil Hassey, chief executive officer of capioIT, said businesses across Southeast Asia require connected technologies that integrate directly into daily workflows while remaining flexible enough to meet local business needs.
Salesforce said Philippine businesses can immediately access the embedded AI features through Salesforce Free Suite or evaluate additional capabilities through a Starter Suite trial. Slack CRM is available at no additional cost for customers subscribed to Slack Business+ plans.
