Garmin, Smart, HONOR, vivo, and Zyxel have each introduced new offerings designed to elevate digital lifestyles and connectivity.

Garmin upgrades hybrid watch

Garmin has unveiled the new Instinct Crossover hybrid smartwatches, now equipped with AMOLED displays for sharper contrast and improved outdoor visibility. The update fuses analog design with digital intelligence, appealing to fitness and adventure enthusiasts.

The model features multi-GNSS positioning, Garmin Pay, and enhanced health tracking tools. Battery life extends up to 40 days in smartwatch mode and 70 days in battery-saver mode. The watch runs on Garmin’s proprietary OS and syncs seamlessly with both Android and iOS devices. Availability details for Philippine retailers will follow.

Smart kicks off Holideals promo

Smart Communications Inc. has launched its Holideals Raffle Promo running until January 6, 2026, giving subscribers a chance to win cash rewards, smartphones, and gadgets. Entries are earned by paying bills, reloading credits, or subscribing to select data promos via the Smart App.

“Smart’s Holideals is our way of sharing the holiday spirit with Filipinos who rely on us for connectivity,” the company said. Weekly winners will be announced on Smart’s social media pages and website.

HONOR debuts self-evolving OS

HONOR has introduced MagicOS 10, which it calls the world’s first self-evolving AI agent operating system. The platform uses intent-based computing to learn user habits, automate workflows, and synchronize across devices.

“Our goal is to push the boundaries of what an operating system can do,” said HONOR CEO George Zhao. The system debuts on the upcoming HONOR Magic7 series and features an AI Privacy Engine to keep user data secure. The rollout begins early 2026.

vivo strengthens 5G lineup

vivo Philippines has launched the V60 Lite 5G, which quickly drew strong demand nationwide. The phone sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, a 64MP main camera, and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset paired with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 44W fast charging.

The brand said the model balances design and performance while making 5G more accessible. vivo expects the V60 Lite to reinforce its share in the growing midrange segment.

Zyxel introduces WiFi 7 access point

Zyxel Networks has rolled out the IAP500BE, its first WiFi 7 access point for Southeast Asia, including the Philippines. The enterprise-grade unit supports 6GHz bandwidth, 320MHz channel widths, and multi-link operation, offering faster and more reliable wireless performance.

“With the IAP500BE, we’re preparing organizations for the next wave of high-performance networking,” said Gary Chen, SEA regional head at Zyxel Networks. The unit integrates with Nebula Cloud for remote management and is available through authorized partners this quarter.
