BUSINE| VITRO Santa Rosa earns TIA-942 Rated 3 certification
The TIA-942 standard, administered by the Telecommunications Industry Association, sets design and infrastructure requirements for telecommunications data centers, covering availability, security and connectivity.

VITRO Inc. said its VITRO Santa Rosa (VSR) data center in Laguna has achieved TIA-942 Rated 3 Facility Certification, confirming that the site meets global standards for concurrent maintainability and has no single point of failure.
The certification was issued after an audit by Enterprise Products Integration (EPI), a certification body for data center standards, the company said.
VSR, inaugurated in April 2025, is a 50-megawatt hyperscale facility positioned to support enterprise, cloud and artificial intelligence workloads. It is located in Santa Rosa, Laguna, and is connected to domestic fiber networks and international submarine cable systems.
The TIA-942 standard, administered by the Telecommunications Industry Association, sets design and infrastructure requirements for telecommunications data centers, covering availability, security and connectivity.
Rated 3 certification indicates that key systems and components can be maintained or replaced without disrupting operations. The standard requires redundancy across critical infrastructure to ensure continuous service during maintenance or unexpected outages.
“This certification is a testament to VITRO’s commitment to delivering infrastructure that global enterprises and hyperscalers can trust. VSR was designed from the ground up to meet the most exacting international standards, and this certification affirms that the Philippines is ready to compete on the world stage as a premier digital hub,” said Victor S. Genuino, president and CEO of ePLDT and VITRO Inc.
The company said its facilities, including VSR, are designed to sustain at least 72 hours of continuous operations using generator systems and on-site fuel reserves.
The certification comes as demand for data center capacity in the Philippines grows, driven by cloud adoption, digital services expansion and AI workloads.
VITRO, a subsidiary of ePLDT, operates multiple data centers in the country and focuses on providing infrastructure for enterprise and hyperscale clients.
