TELECOM | Araneta City upgrades digital infrastructure with PLDT Enterprise
The partnership between Araneta City and PLDT Enterprise formalizes a broader digital transformation initiative that integrates fixed connectivity.

Araneta City is strengthening its digital infrastructure through an expanded partnership with PLDT Enterprise, aiming to improve operational efficiency and customer experience across one of Metro Manila’s largest commercial districts.
The partnership between Araneta City and PLDT Enterprise formalizes a broader digital transformation initiative that integrates fixed connectivity, wireless enterprise services from Smart Communications, and cloud and data center solutions from ePLDT and VITRO Inc..
The companies said the initiative is designed to support Araneta City’s operations across real estate, hospitality, retail, entertainment, and food service businesses through a more integrated digital ecosystem. The upgrades include cloud-based infrastructure, enterprise connectivity, and scalable platforms intended to improve cybersecurity, operational resilience, and customer-facing services.
Victor S. Genuino, president and CEO of ePLDT and VITRO Inc. and head of PLDT Enterprise Key Industries Group, said the collaboration reflects a shared effort to support the continued modernization of the urban district.
“At the heart of this partnership is a shared commitment to ensure that Araneta City continues to thrive as a resilient, innovative, and customer-focused organization,” Genuino said. “Our role is simple: to support our customers’ goals and ensure that partnerships run smoothly, backed by the full strength of PLDT Enterprise’s end-to-end solutions.”
Araneta City officials said the relationship with PLDT has evolved alongside the company’s growing digital requirements.
“PLDT has been with us throughout our technological journey — from simpler and legacy-based requirements, to the more complex digital needs we have today,” said Rowell L. Recinto, senior management consultant of Araneta City Inc. “What we value most is not just access to the latest technologies, but solutions that are proven, reliable, and responsive to our business and our tenants.”
Located in Quezon City, Araneta City is known as a major commercial and entertainment district, housing malls, offices, hotels, restaurants, and event venues that serve millions of visitors annually. The company said strengthening its digital backbone is expected to support more seamless services and operations across the district.
The partnership also includes support for high-capacity connectivity and secure cloud infrastructure, enabling Araneta City to explore technologies such as cloud computing, cybersecurity systems, and artificial intelligence-driven platforms.
Genuino said integrated technology ecosystems are becoming increasingly important as urban developments adopt more data-driven operations and smart infrastructure.
“As urban developments become more connected with intelligent data-driven insights, integrated technology ecosystems play a critical role in enabling resilient and future-ready environments,” he said. “We look forward to progressing alongside ACI as they boldly embrace innovation to accelerate their digital transformation and reinforce their standing as a top-tier leader in urban development, while driving the district’s long-term growth.”
The latest agreement expands an existing collaboration between parent firm PLDT Inc. and Araneta City, as businesses continue investing in digital systems to support large-scale urban operations and customer engagement.
